Tea Masala

Tea masala is a blend of spices used to flavor tea in Kenya, India and other South Asian countries. The spices used can vary, but often include cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, ginger, and black pepper. Tea masala is typically added to tea along with milk and sugar to create a spiced tea known as chai or masala chai.

The exact origin of tea masala is not clear, but it is believed to have originated in India. Chai has been a popular drink in India for centuries, with some historians tracing its origins back to the royal courts of the Mughal Empire in the 16th century.

Tea masala became a common ingredient in chai in many parts of India, and is now widely used not only in India but also in other countries where chai has become popular. Some people also use tea masala to flavor other beverages and dishes, such as milkshakes or desserts.
